Israel Ambulance Drive
In recent months 12 of Israel’s AMBULANCES were ATTACKED by terrorists and had to be taken out of service.
Even worse, over 100 ambulances are utterly WORN OUT and must be replaced this year.
If this were not enough, even more ambulances were converted into highly specialized Covid-19 patient transport vehicles, taking them out of regular service.
MAGEN DAVID ADOM, Israel’s official emergency medical services agency, urgently needs ambulances to meet the thousands of calls for help that pour in EVERY SINGLE DAY for the entire nation.
Not many people have the ability to donate a complete ambulance.
But every single person has the power to help make a difference. To save lives.
MAGEN DAVID ADOM is Israel’s emergency medical services organization. Its 30,000 team members mobilize a fleet of 1,700 ambulances, Medicycles, helicopters, and other emergency vehicles to save every life possible. It is responsible for Israel’s national blood supply and responds to all terrorist and mass casualty situations.
About 90% of Israel’s EMTs and paramedics are volunteers. They take no pay for their courageous service. But they cannot save lives without vehicles and medical supplies.
The people of Israel need you. Please do what you can to help send a new ambulance today!
The average ambulance has a service life of 10 years before it wears out.
An ambulance can answer up to about 10,000 calls while in service.
Israel has about 1,100 total ambulances.
48 ambulances are armored to protect against bullets and shrapnel.
Ambulances are equipped with technology to relay patients’ conditions to the hospital.
The average response time for an ambulance in Israel is 7 minutes.
